Legendary Vocalist Peabo Bryson Brings Contemporary and Soulful Sounds and Timeless Hits to the Apache Casino Hotel in August

LAWTON, OK — Grammy and Academy Award-winning vocalist Peabo Bryson will bring his Golden Touch Tour to the Apache Casino Hotel Event Center on August 14, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., offering fans a rare opportunity to hear one of music’s most iconic voices in an intimate setting.

Bryson is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished vocalists in contemporary music. Over the course of his lengthy career, Bryson has earned two Grammy Awards, two Academy Awards, eight Grammy nominations, five gold albums, 25 Top 20 singles and six Number 1 hits. He is recognized as the first artist in music history to top four different charts with separate records.
Tickets go on sale for Peabo Bryson, Golden Touch Tour, on Wednesday, June11, at 10 a.m. (CT) at the Apache Casino Hotel in Lawton, OK, and range in price from $49 to $89 for guests ages 21 and older only. Authorized ticket outlets include apachecasinohotel.com, etix.com and in person at the casino cashier desk at the Apache Casino Hotel located at 2315 East Gore Blvd., Lawton, Oklahoma, 73501.

Known for his rich, almost operatic voice, Bryson is celebrated for timeless ballads such as “Can You Stop the Rain,” “Reaching for the Sky,” “If Ever You’re in My Arms Again” and “Show & Tell.” He is also known for his popular duets, including “Tonight I Celebrate My Love” a top 15 pop hit with Roberta Flack. His collaborations have also included Natalie Cole, “What You Won’t Do for Love”, Minnie Riperton and Melissa Manchester.

But it was two songs for Disney animated films which gave Peabo true cross-over appeal. The first was 1991’s “Beauty and the Beast” with international pop singer Celine Dion. The song was a Billboard number one hit. The very next year, Peabo struck gold again, with “A Whole New World from Disney’s “Aladdin”. The iconic hit is a duet with R&B and Gospel vocalist Regina Belle. Both “Beauty and the Beast” (1991) and “A Whole New World” (1992) also won Oscars for “Best Song”.

Since these milestones, Peabo has been even more sought after as a guest vocalist and duet partner, resulting in his collaborations with Tony Award-winner Lea Salonga on “We Kiss in the Shadows” (#1 on the Classical Crossover chart from a new recording of “The King and I” score), Melissa Manchester’s “Lovers After All”, and Kenny G’s “By The Time This Night is Over” (from the chart topping Contemporary Jazz CD, “Breathless”).

Demonstrating his skills as an actor, Peabo appeared in the lead role for the touring production of the Tony Award-winning “Raisin” (based on “Raisin In The Sun”) and in the role of The Wizard in a touring company of “The Wiz.” He also released three Christmas CDs, lovingly filled with music he has performed for years in the annual touring holiday music extravaganza, “The Colors of Christmas.” Bryson’s newest studio album is scheduled for release later in 2025.
