Aaron Watson Brings His Country Sound to the Apache Casino Hotel in November
LAWTON, OK. —Texas Country powerhouse Aaron Watson is bringing his unmistakable sound and decades of self-made success to the Apache Casino Hotel on Thursday, November 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Events Center.
With 20 studio albums and five Top 10 finishes on the Billboard Country Albums chart, Watson has built a career defined by independence, authenticity and an unwavering connection to country music fans. His 2015 album The Underdog, made history when it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart, becoming the first independently released album to reach the top of the chart.
Now, Watson is celebrating the next chapter of his career with “Horse Named Texas,” a 26-song collection that reflects his Texas roots while continuing to push the boundaries of contemporary country music. The album’s title track serves as a fitting reflection of Watson’s journey, comparing his career to a faithful, hard-working horse that has carried him from honky-tonks to the forefront of the country music scene.
Watson co-wrote every song on “Horse Named Texas,” drawing inspiration from faith, family, friendship and the experiences that have shaped his life and career. The album includes the heartfelt “Old Houses,” the nostalgic “Same Here” and “Good Old Days,” and “Gone Fishin,” a poignant look at losing loved ones and finding comfort in the belief that they have simply gone on to a better place.
